Energy crops small plots vs field plots: avoid unrealistic expectations

Small plots and research scales are not as realistic as productivity from field plots when making economic assumptions in any project.

Fertilizers and lignocellulosic energy crops

Lignocellulosic crops have shown in recent decades a more efficient pathway to produce energy and also lower environmental impacts. Life cycle assessments show that fertilizers efficiency is critical as well as expected yields and extractions levels when producing energy crops. We discuss implications and criteria to apply.

Bioenergy trends in 2013: lignocellulosic raw materials play a major role

Recent trends of  bioenergy, lignocellulosic raw materials and grasslands for advanced biofuels, biopower, pulp and biogas show promising perspectives in 2013.
